Street Photography (11/13/25)

Our judge, Al Brown, enjoys street photography and gave us lots of tips on that genre.  Many successful images rely on good timing, capturing just the moment when someone enters the frame for example.  You can do street photography by just wandering around but many people choose to sit in one place and discreetly photograph the world around them.  Taking direct images of people can take guts but is ok to do in public places. Remember to be respectful.  When editing leave room around the edges of the main subject and remove distractions when possible.  Note that blank space can be just as distracting as something intruding in the corner.
