On January 10th Pat Carroll gave a long presentation covering The Basics of Photography. He covered most of the setting found on today’s digital cameras and explained the various ways you can manipulate f-stops and the resulting exposures. The vote was announced that we would change the schedule of lectures and competitions to make room for tutorials and critique nights designed to attract new members and improve the skills of all members. There was a lot of discussion about comments from the judges, especially their brevity when there are a lot of entries
It was a magnificent start to new season with Andrew Darlow’s lecture on “How to get great prints from lab” Andrew started the lecture with the motive to make listeners understand how to print their photographs. He explained how to get prints from variety of material thick papers, canvas, plywood, metal, satin and so on.
