Grounds of Sculpture holds their annual exhibition called "Focus on Sculpture". It's a juried exhibition of amateur photographs, all sharing sculpture as subject matter, that runs from January 18, 2014 through April 13, 2014.
This year all photos for the exhibition had to be taken in New Jersey, to commemorate the state's 350th anniversary and entries had to showcase a broad definition of sculpture. Photographers were encouraged to point their cameras towards the sculptural elements they see in their everyday lives.
This year, 29 photographs were selected from 144 entries and we have two members who were selected for the exhibition, Ginny Santora and Pat Steo.

"Beauty is Truth, Truth Beauty..." -- John Keats, 1819
This photo is by Ginny Santora. We asked her about the story story behind the photo:
It was taken this fall at Ringwood Manor. I thought of Keats' poem, "Ode on a Grecian Urn", when I saw this urn, hence the title of my pic, "Beauty is Truth, Truth is Beauty..." John Keats, 1819. It's a line from the poem that caused some controversial discussion at the time. I intended it as a subliminal reference to the poem, which I hoped would not be lost on the juror, as I think the urn, though probably not Greek, in the setting of the fall colors surrounding it, is quite beautiful in & of itself.
Congratulations to both Ginny Santora and Pat Steo.
