Put it all together and you have the Raritan Photographic Society, a group of neighbors who meet on a regular basis to learn how to take better pictures and to appreciate the fine art of photography. We are members of the New Jersey Federation of Camera Clubs and the Photographic Society of America.

Since its founding in 1929, the Raritan Photographic Society has been serving the photographic interests of the community. Now in our 77th year, the camera club is conducting an outstanding program of lectures, competitions, and special events. From September to May the club meets twice a month, usually on the second and fourth Thursday at locations in East Brunswick NJ. On the second Thursday, we feature member competitions in black-and-white prints, color prints, slides and digital images, at the beginner, advanced and salon levels. On the fourth Thursday, our meetings consist of lectures, demonstrations, discussions, or activities, such as a studio night. These programs are designed to help the members learn the basics of photography, new techniques for taking pictures, or applications of photography. We also organize field trips to photogenic sites and a year-end banquet and competition.

There are numerous benefits to joining RPS, such as the right to enter competitions, to attend field trips, and to receive our monthly newsletter, Focus, by mail or e-mail. Click on one of the topics at left to learn more about our programs, or contact us via e-mail:
