How many images can I submit per competition?
You can submit a maximum of two images in any individual competition.
For a trial period (Sep, Oct, Nov 2007) there will also be a limit of five images, total, per member per meeting. You get to choose how you distribute your five images between digital and prints. For example, you might submit two in color digital, two in b&w digital and one in color prints. Alternatively, you might choose to enter two b&w prints, one color print, one color digital and one b&w digital. However you distribute them, you are limited to a total of five images per night and no more than two images in any individual competition.
If I enter photos in the digital competitions, via the web site, do they count against the total entries I can enter in the monthly contest?
Yes. During the trial period (Sep, Oct, Nov 2007) the limit is five images per person no matter whether they are digital or prints. If you submit three digitals you can only submit two prints. If you submit one digital then you can submit four prints.
What size must my images be?
Your images should be no more than 1024 pixels wide and no more than 768 pixels high. This is the maximum size that the club's projector can accommodate. Also, the size of the .jpg file on the disk should be no more than 300 KBytes.
How do I resize my images to meet the size requirements?
There is a guide to resizing your images using PhotoShop here.
What naming convention should I use for the digital files I upload?
There is no longer any requirement to use a specific file naming convention. You can use whatever file name you like. If your .jpg file is named CRW_0779.jpg, that's fine, use that. If it's named Lucy_in_the_Sky_with_Diamonds.jpg, that will work equally as well.
